The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Heat
Advisory, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM CDT Thursday. A
Heat Advisory has also been issued from noon to 9 PM CDT Friday.
* EVENT…Heat and humidity will combine to produce heat index
values around 105 degrees and above.
* AREAS AFFECTED…Parts of central and southern Arkansas.
* IMPACTS…A heat advisory means a period of hot temperatures and
elevated humidity levels will produce high heat index values. It
may create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
