MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It's Watercooler Wednesday.

Companies are bring forward social issues that have been making headlines across different communities lately. Proctor and Gamble's new commercial show African American parents talking to their children about tougher conversations that may come up outside of the home, while Disney's new episode of Doc McStuffins features an interracial lesbian couple.

Should companies weigh in on social issues?

One study says Americans can tell an average of 11 lies a week, but experts said we are good at pegging liars, but often talk ourselves out of the notion that someone is lying to us.

And finally, a study found that women are much happier when their boyfriends, husbands or significant others are uglier than they are. Researchers surveyed women who said the more attractive their mate is, the more likely they are to diet and constantly try to look better. But women with less attractive mates didn't feel the need to diet all the time.
