MEMPHIS, Tenn. — For Watercooler Wednesday, we were joined by Alexis Grace from 107.5 the Q, who has a new single out on iTunes called “Rooftop,” Kevin Cerrito with Sports 56 AM 560 and the “I Love Memphis” podcast, and our own Todd Demers.

A new 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll questions ethics. It lists slavery as America’s biggest moral mistake, followed by the country’s treatment of Native Americans and the Vietnam War.

The poll also addresses parenting, by asking how far would you go for your child?  Half said they would let a child win a board game. But it questions whether you would write a fake sick note so they can attend an event, if you’d write their college application essay, or even provide an alibi for a crime.

The shoe company Nine West is under fire for a new ad campaign. Some say the new ads that tout shoes and handbags made for “A Walk of Shame” or “Husband Hunting” are offensive.

History is being made in the NBA. The San Antonio Spurs has hired former WNBA star, Becky Hammon, the league’s first full-time female assistant coach. It’s believed to be the first major female hire not just in the NBA, but the NFL, MLB and NHL. Is it surprising it’s taken this long, and do you see it starting a trend?
