A shocking series of overdoses in a West Virginia town is drawing attention to a growing drug problem nationwide, including right here in the Mid-South.

More than two dozen people OD’ed in just four hours in Huntington, West Virginia, last week, and investigators believe it may be because their heroin had been laced with fentanyl.

If that word sounds familiar, fentanyl is the same painkiller that killed Prince.

And now, it’s being made and sold on the streets.
