Millions of credit and debit cards in the U.S. will soon be replaced.

In fact, many of you may already have one of the new chip cards, and retailers were supposed to make the switch to chip card readers on Oct. 1.

The new technology is meant to better protect you from fraud.

But WREG's Consumer Investigator Zaneta Lowe warns it's not foolproof.
