When school starts in Shelby County in a couple of weeks, students will not be returning to Carver High.

But there's a chance the building could be used again.

Community leaders met at Bloomfield Baptist Church last night to hear about a plan to repurpose the building.

Superintendent Dorsey Hopson suggested taking two programs for alternative students and combining them at Carver.

But that's not the vision many in the community have for the school.

Rev. Ralph White from Bloomfield Baptist joins us, along with Rev. Edward Vaughn, president of the Carver Alumni Association.
