PORTLAND, Ore. — To the delight of all in attendance, a bird landed on Bernie Sander’s podium during his speech in Portland on Friday.

The entire thing was naturally caught on camera.

The crowd cheered and laughed as the bird came to rest in front of the presidential candidate, reported KATU.

But Sanders took the entire thing in stride.

He simply looked at the tiny bird, smiled and shook his head.

However brief the moment was, it didn’t stop voters from taking to social media.

Many posted videos and pictures, and even created the trending hashtag #BirdieSanders.
