KINGMAN, Ariz. — Two Arizona officers were shot while serving a warrant Thursday morning, according to the City of Kingman.

Police said they went to the home of Jeffrey Clair Cave to execute a warrant for stolen property.

Body cam footage provided by the City of Kingman shows the officers arriving in tactical gear and the suspect inside the house holding a gun at his side.

The officers yelled “Drop the gun” several times. The suspect is seen raising the gun to shoot, with officers returning fire as the video ends.

Police said Cave fired at the officers, and officers then shot and killed him.

One of the officers who was shot, Detective Dennis Gilbert, was in serious but stable condition in the hospital as of Friday.

The other officer, Lt. James Brice, was not injured, as his gear protected him.
