GERMANTOWN, Tenn. -- Stained walls remain in Germantown after vandals hit several businesses.

"I don’t understand it, I don’t understand why they vandalize. I don’t think it is right," said Mary Costello.

These vandals struck after sunset, well after the businesses closed their doors for the day. Several police reports confirmed multiple businesses had words like "Lucky," "Jinx" and "W-E-B" painted on them with spray paint.

"People get stressed during the holidays and they do stupid stuff. I guess this is one of those examples," said Jon Tinniswood.

Farmington Animal Hospital removed all traces with a power washer and Cadence Bank tried to do the same.

Police don’t think the phrases hold deeper meaning and said this may just be a case of restless youth painting businesses after dark.
