MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has released a sketch of the suspect in the attack on a mail carrier.
The attack happened January 15 near Socorro Cove and Fortner Road between 1:45 and 2:00 p.m.
Acid was thrown on the mail carrier causing serious burns.
“In the continuing investigation, our agency has received information that the person depicted in the composite may be related to the assault.”
According to the USPS, a person with a similar description approached a carrier near Steuben Drive and Covington Pike January 12.
The person was reportedly wearing a letter carrier shirt.
