MEMPHIS, Tenn. --  Memphis Police are on the lookout this evening for the suspects who they say robbed and carjacked a man who was trying to do the right thing.

Video from inside the BP gas station at Riverside Drive and Carolina shows a man in a black and green hoodie buying a soda. He's talking to a woman who appears to be with him.

Police said that was right before they couple carjacked a man in the parking lot.

The victim told investigators he was sitting in his truck when the woman approached him, saying she and a friend were having car trouble.

When the victim went to walk over to the Ford F-150 to help, the man pointed a gun at him, took his wallet, $500 in cash and his keys.

A third suspect jumped into his 2007 GMC Sierra and took off.

A picture of that third suspect is not available at this time.

A source who did not want to be identified said the video appeared to show the victim and the suspects possibly knew each other. They were seen getting in and out of each other's car before the alleged carjacking.

Police told WREG they do not believe that is the case.

If you can identify the suspects, call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
