NASHVILLE, Tenn. — All three of the Summers brothers are now out of the hospital.

The family told WREG Wesley was discharged on Tuesday. His brother, Branson, was released Sunday afternoon while the third, Jared, was discharged shortly after the fires in East Tennessee.

The Summers family, who is from Memphis, were in Gatlinburg to celebrate Jared and Wesley’s 22nd birthday.

But it ended when they were told to evacuate their cabin in the valley.

The thick smoke separated them after their car couldn’t get farther then a tree blocking the road.

Somehow the boys’ parents, Jon and Janet, went one way while the three brothers went the other — all fighting through thick smoke and destruction.

Sadly, the parents didn’t make it.
