MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation will close part of Interstate 40 West at Canada Road (Exit 20) in Shelby County for bridge construction.
The closures will take place between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
During the closures, interstate traffic will use the on- and off-ramps at Canada Road.
Traffic on Canada Road will be allowed to cross I-40 at intervals during the scheduled time of the closures.
The lane closures are necessary to remove the old Canada Road Bridge.
The entire project should be done by the end of next May.
Corie Ventura will have updates during News Channel 3 Daybreak.
