OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — A suspect is behind bars and another is still at large following a homicide in Olive Branch.

According to police, 18-year-old Melik Turner, Alexander Mitchell and Javaree Mason were outside a home in the 7900 block of Alexander Crossing Sunday evening when an argument broke out.

A neighbor told WREG’s Luke Jones she heard gunshots around 11 p.m. and saw two men running back into the woods behind the home.

Turner was shot multiple times.

He was rushed to the Olive Branch hospital where he later died.

Mitchell, a student at Center Hill High, was taken into custody and given a $1 million bond.

Mason is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.
