(Southaven, MS) Southaven developer Chuck Roberts has been sentenced in his bank fraud case.

Federal prosecutors were ready to prosecute Roberts and his business partner James M. Harris, Jr., earlier this year for making false statements after getting a $5 million loan from Citizens National Bank.

The loan was for construction and development of the Cherry Hill Subdivision in Desoto County.

Instead, Roberts pleaded guilty.

He will spend 10 days in prison starting September 16th.

Roberts must pay the remaining balance of $45,000 to the bank.

His father already paid $400,000.

Roberts had asked for the mercy from the court.
