MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person was killed and another sent to the hospital following a shooting at a Southeast Memphis business.
Major Jeff Towe said the suspect started shooting into Hammond Transportation in the 2800 block of Farrisview Boulevard early Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses told investigators they heard anywhere from 5 to 10 gunshots.
Police confirmed to WREG both victims were employees at the business.
The victim who is in the hospital suffered a gunshot wound to the face but is said to be in stable condition.
After the shooting, the suspect walked into a nearby business and turned himself in.
Police said they don’t know anything else about the suspect, the victims or a possible motive at this time.
WREG has learned the man who is in the hospital is the father of a Hernando Police Officer.
