MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Right down to the minute, Tempie Anderson can tell you when shots were fired, hitting the Mount Moriah Baptist Church.

"It was 9:03 to be exact."

The details and the sounds play over and over in Anderson's head.

"Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. Just like that."

Pastor Harvey Jackson showed us the spot where a bullet pierced an upstairs window, grazing a wall. Another bullet tore through a downstairs window.

"Police did share with us that there was some shooting several streets over and apparently bullets came our way," he said.

Miraculously, no one was inside the church at the time. Jackson said a bible study group had left just 90 minutes before the first gunshots were reported.

"Just pray that the individuals that did cause that that they will take cognizance of who they are, what they`re doing, and the potential harm that could come."

A quick check of police records in the neighborhood showed crime is nothing new. There have been 15 aggravated assaults reported since the first of the month in a one-mile radius. There were also a number of robberies, drug arrests and burglaries.

"People don`t value anything anymore. Not even to life. They don`t even value life anymore."
