MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three people were shot Monday night in southwest Memphis, police said.
At 7:30 p.m. Monday, officers were called to the 3500 block of Silas after a reported shooting. A shooting victim was taken from that location to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition, but he later died.
Around the same time, officers received another shooting call, but this time in the 3900 block of Weaver. Two people were taken from that location to the hospital. They are expected to be okay.
Initially, police couldn't say if the two shootings were connected. After further investigation, police said the two victims located on Weaver were also shot on Silas.
What led to the violence has not been determined.
