SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — A person was shot late Tuesday night in Shelby County, and authorities do not have any suspects in custody.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 4600 block of Orange Tulip Drive. A woman was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. Deputies say the shots were fired from inside of the house.

Neighbors say several people were in the house during the shooting, including children. They say their neighborhood is normally quiet, and they want it to stay that way.

“It concerns me, because that would be the first time that it ever happened,” a resident at the apartment complex said.

Shelby County deputies have no one in custody for the shooting. This is an ongoing investigation.
