Power outages grow as winds increase today

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — MLGW reports more than 10,200 customers are without electricity as of 1 p.m.

We are currently under a wind advisory from the National Weather Service.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.

Winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 40 mph are expected. Stronger winds will be possible.

Several Christmas parades have been cancelled due to the weather as is Starry Nights at Shelby Farms.
