Police: Woman drives backwards down the street while threatening family

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is behind bars after officers caught her threatening a woman and her kids while driving recklessly down the street.

According to a police report, an officer was on Mimosa Street when he witnessed Kamesha Cooper driving a black Ford Mustang backward down the street and on the wrong side of the road.

She was even yelling and swearing at a woman and her two children, police said.

The victim said Cooper pulled a gun on the group and threatened to harm them.

While questioning the suspect, officers discovered a black handgun in the back seat, a marijuana grinder, a pipe in the middle console, and small amounts of marijuana.

Cooper was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving and violation of financial law.

Her bond was set at $15,000.
