MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police said a man and woman involved in a three-week crime spree were arrested over the weekend after they were spotted in a stolen pickup.
Police stopped the black Ford 150 truck in the 1600 block of Getwell Road. Inside the truck, they found a gaming system, jewelry, a handgun, ammunition and other items taken from several homes in the area.
Jermaine Kimbrough, 21, and Sunny Giordano, 18, are both facings burglary, theft and weapons charges.
Investigators said the black pickup truck was stolen from the 1200 block of Shelby Drive March 7 and since then has been used in at least three break-ins and one attempted break-in in East Memphis and the Fox Meadows area.
Police said the pair took thousands of dollars worth of items and said the black pickup was captured on a surveillance camera at one of the homes.
Kimbrough was convicted of aggravated burglary in 2012 and sentenced to three years in prison.
Investigators say both Kimbrough and Giordano admitted to taking part in the burglaries.
