MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police officers were injured after a driver ran into the back of a patrol car on Interstate 240 near Walnut Grove early Thursday morning.
The officers were stopped on the side of the interstate writing a traffic ticket when the patrol car was hit from behind by a white Hyundai around midnight.
Authorities said the officers and the driver were taken to area hospitals in non-critical condition after the accident. The officers have since been released from the hospital.
Memphis Police did not say how many officers were involved in the accident.
This is an ongoing investigation.
