Police make arrest in July 2015 murder case

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities have made an arrest in a shooting death from July 2015.

Authorities told WREG 35-year-old Quincy Jett was found shot to death inside his car in the 1500 block of Stribling.

While reporting on the shooting, neighbors told WREG two men believed to be the shooters, rummaged through Jett’s pockets, then took off running through the complex.

More than two years later, 18-year-old Markavious Gray was taken into custody for the murder.

Police said because Gray was a juvenile at the time of the homicide, he was taken to juvenile court and charged with first-degree murder in prep of a felony to wit robbery pending the outcome of a hearing.
