Police: Castle Heights shooting victim only 19 years old

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have released new details about Friday night’s shooting in the 6500 block of Castle Heights Cove.

WREG reported one man was dead after being shot in the head.

Police have confirmed the man was a 19-year-old, Tedarrius Woods.

Friday night, officers were called to the area after neighbors heard gunshots.

When they went outside, they found the man with an apparent gunshot wound.

He was later pronounced dead on the scene by local paramedics.
