MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating a shooting in South Memphis that left two dead and one injured early Sunday.

The double shooting  happened at a gas station on Elvis Presley Boulevard at South Parkway around 1 a.m.

Two men, ages 19 and 21, were found inside a Jeep Grand Cherokee suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital but did not survive those injuries. Another victim had injuries from broken glass.

Surveillance video shows the driver of the vehicle being shot and then, a male carrying what appears to be a gun jump over the victim and out the car, followed by a female.

Folks in the area who chose to not go on camera said gun violence such as this is no stranger to this area.

"No, it doesn't surprise me at all. It's saddening. I will say that. regardless of how much I've seen, it's still sad though that we can't get along and that it takes this to go on and it's ain't nothing that can be done."

Police say there is no suspect information available, but if you have any information you are encouraged to call 528-CASH.
