HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. -- The pilot of a small agricultural plane died when the aircraft crashed in Hardeman County Wednesday.

The pilot, 73-year-old James Taylor, was the only one on board when the Cessna 188 went down and became tangled in power lines.

Neighbors say the power went out, and someone spotted the plane while checking to see what might have caused the outage.

Those who knew Taylor tell us he was skilled and knew both the land and the power lines, and they don't understand how this happened.

The FAA is investigating, and says the NTSB will determine what likely caused the crash.
