(Memphis, TN) News Channel 3 has uncovered more information about past complaints filed against a Memphis police officer accused of rape.

According to Officer Aaron Reinsburg personnel files, he was one of the arresting officers investigated in the death of a man who died while in police custody.

Investigators say Lorenzo Davis resisted arrest and punched Reinsburg’s partner last July after Davis was caught selling drugs.

Records show the officers fought with Davis before they were able to place him under arrest and get him in the back of the patrol car. The officers then realized Davis had a rapid heart beat and needed and ambulance.

An autopsy report revealed, although Davis was badly beaten, he died of a brain hemorrhage from too much cocaine in his system.

Officer Reinsburg was cleared of using excessive force in the incident and the case was closed last October.
