(WREG-TV) The state’s largest insurer says it’s in a holding pattern after the president’s remarks Thursday.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee wants more details about the Obama administration’s new direction.

The insurer says that after hearing the president’s remarks, it wants to make sure it can still offer coverage next year for current policy holders that would be dropped.

Many small businesses are voicing their frustration too, after the president said the new law will make it easier for them to find better coverage options.A Wall Street Business Journal report shows only one in 12 people agree the healthcare law will help their business.

Small business owners in west Tennessee will have an opportunity to hear from one of the leading experts on the matter.

Karen Harned from the National Federation for Independent Business will be in Memphis Nov. 20 at Regions Bank (6200 Poplar Ave.) to discuss the law’s local impact.

The meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
