MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Nearly a dozen evidence markers were clumped together in the parking lot of Morgan Steel along West Trigg after detectives said a man was shot at a South Memphis business.
Long-time neighbor Tracy Scruggs said crime moved in a while back and never left.
“Back down that way and East Trigg it’s terrible,” he said. “They need to quit. All this violence, they need to quit.”
Just after 7 a..m Monday, investigators were called to the parking lot of Stell Morgan on West Trigg after a vehicle crashed into the building. The victim had also been shot and was rushed to the hospital where he died.
Workers gathered in disbelief while detectives fanned out trying to figure out what happened and what led to the incident. Police hope nearby surveillance cameras captured the attack.
