One killed in Summer Avenue wreck

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person was killed Wednesday night in a two-car collision on Summer Avenue, police said.

On Thursday, the Memphis Police Department identified the driver as 45-year-old Jeanette McKinley-Bowen.

McKinley-Bowen was reportedly driving in the area of Summer and Waring when she was involved in a car crash with another vehicle around 8 p.m. She was rushed to the Regional Medical Center where she later died.

Another person was also transported to Baptist, but he was listed in non-critical condition.
