(University, MS) Starting this summer, The University of Mississippi will spend about 50 million dollars to renovate and expand the Ole Miss Student Union building.

Plans call for several improvements, including larger dining areas, new student government offices, and a government meeting chamber. The changes also call for a ballroom, conference and even retail space.

The construction will add about 60-thousand square feet to the existing building.

Much of the building will remain open through the construction.

One thing students will lose, is the U.S. Post Office which will close June 30th.
