MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men were arrested Friday afternoon after arrest warrants were issued for three men police say are responsible for the death of a 42-year-old man in late January.

On Saturday, January 26, officers responded to the Shadow Brooks Apartments in Parkway Village after receiving calls of a shooting. That’s where they found Mariko Faulkner suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was rushed to the Regional Medical Center where authorities say he later died.

While investigating, investigators developed Dupree Miller, Dareon Brown and Junior Jermaine Johnson as suspects in the case.

Warrants were issued for each man on charges of first-degree murder, first-degree murder in perpetration of a felony, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated robbery.

Miller and Brown were in police custody by Friday afternoon, police reported, but Johnson remained at large.

Brown’s grandfather didn’t want to talk, but says he’s tried to help his grandson in the past and doesn’t know what else he can do.

Neighbors think there was so much gunfire the night of shooting because the victim fired back, and they say the suspects left at a high rate of speed, hitting several vehicles on their way out.

If you know where Johnson is, call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
