BARTLETT, Tenn. — Someone repeatedly fired shots at the Tennessee Highway Patrol headquarters on Summer Avenue Sunday night.

The shots were reported around 8:55 p.m. at the building which is located at 6348 Summer Avenue.

A total of 14 AK47 shell casings were found in the eastbound lane of Summer Avenue according to THP.

Authorities said the casings were in a tight grouping indicating the suspects stopped their vehicle, got out and intentionally fired at the building.

At least four rounds went through the front glass and doors of the building.

State Troopers and staff were inside the building at the time, but thankfully no one was hurt during the incident.

Bartlett Police are handling the investigation.
