(Dyersburg, TN) More than 157 jobs and a $24 million investment are coming to Dyersburg.

A distribution center for Dot Foods is being built on Highway 211.

The new facility, the first the company has built in Tennessee, will be 166,494 square feet in size and include frozen, refrigerated and ambient storage; a 125,000-square-foot warehouse; and a 9,500-square-foot truck and tractor garage.

According to the company, “Dot Foods Inc. carries 105,000 products from 650 food industry manufacturers and is the largest food redistributor in the United States. Dot Foods distributes foodservice, convenience, retail and vending food products to distributors in all 50 states.”

The distribution center in Dyersburg will be the ninth facility for Dot Foods, Inc. The company has centers in Modesto, California; Vidalia, Georgia; Burley, Idaho; Cambridge City, Indiana; Williamsport, Maryland; Liverpool, New York; Ardmore, Oklahoma; and its main distribution center in Mt. Sterling, Illinois.

The facility should open September, 2014.
