Minor earthquake recorded near Dyersburg

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A magnitude 3.6 earthquake was recorded in the Missouri bootheel near Dyersburg, Tennessee on Tuesday morning, the US Geological Survey reported.

The small quake was recorded about 11 a.m. local time and was about 7 miles underground, the USGS said.

A quake of that magnitude is classified as “minor.”
