MT. JULIET, Tenn. —  Potentially millions of bees escaped after the tractor trailer that was transporting them rolled over Monday.

According to WTVF, the semi was carrying 450 beehives when they were involved in a crash on Posey Hill Road in Wilson County.

As emergency crews tried to help the driver trapped inside the cab, the bees began to swarm.

Local beekeepers were called in to help contain the unhappy bees, but authorities said even with their help, it would take some time to clear the scene as anywhere from 20,000 to 60,000 bees can live inside one hive.
