MEMPHIS, Tenn.– A woman has been charged with first-degree murder after a shooting in Oxford, Mississippi Wednesday.

According to the Oxford Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting victim in the 2900 block of South Lamar Boulevard around 12:15 a.m.

Officers found the victim and suspect, Alexandria Griste, 29, when they arrived.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Griste was taken into custody and charged. She is being held on a $1 million bond.
