Memphis Man Wins $100K Settlement in Discrimination Lawsuit

(Memphis, TN) A Memphis man scored a major victory against his former employer, which fired him after learning he suffered from bipolar disorder.

The EEOC filed a disability discrimination lawsuit against his former employer, German-based Bauermeister, on behalf of the former mechanic.

The company agreed to pay the unnamed man $100,000 to settle the lawsuit Monday.

Bauermeister will also have to keep a record of any future complaints and provide reports to the EEOC.
