(Memphis) A healthy challenge with a lot of cash as an incentive to lose weight.

Employees from Shelby County Government, University of Tennessee Health Science and Youth Villages are just some of those taking part in a city-wide weight loss competition.

The team with the greatest percentage of weight loss over the next three months will take home a $10,000 prize.

Employees at UT are putting in extra hours in the gym to make sure they win.

“It’s a lifestyle change and just the beginning of something that I needed to do anyway, and the $10,000 was a great incentive to make me want to do it more,” said Nadia Hussey.

The contest, organized by, started a little over a week ago and ends May 17th.
