MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A little less than an hour after King of Discount Food Mart closed its doors, a man can be seen pulling on the store's locked door, desperately trying to get inside..

"It's always busy this store -- usually opens around that time. Guess he decided to close early."

Surveillance video showed the man holding his hands up as if he's surrendering then being chased and shot by an unidentified man.

On Thursday, Memphis police searched for clues within this video to help them piece together the city's 225th murder.

According to police, the gunman hopped out of a car at Vance and Lauderdale. The suspect tried to rob the victim before firing several times and killing him.

WREG's Troy Washington spoke with a woman who didn't want to go camera but explained since the corner store is the only store in the area that stays open late, she believes this could have easily happened to anyone in the area.

"It could have been more than one person it actually happened to."

While the store is back open, police are still busy looking for the man in this video.
