MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man killed in an apparent robbery Monday has been identified as 44-year-old Mamadou Ngom.

Officers responded to Amigo’s Store, located in the 4200 block of Wales, at about 6:15 p.m. and found Ngom lying on the ground behind the counter with multiple gunshot wounds. The cash register was on the ground with its drawer open.

Ngom was taken to Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
