(Memphis) A Memphis man has been found guilty of first degree murder in the 2010 strangulation death of his girlfriend whose body was found encased in a motel room bed.
Lakeith Moody, 38, was automatically sentenced to life in prison after the verdict Sunday involving the death of 28-year-old Sony Millbrook.
Millbrook’s body was in a room at the Budget Lodge on East Brooks Road in January, 2010.
The room was rented to several customers in the following weeks, but despite their complaints of a foul odor the victim’s body was not discovered until March 15.
Moody, the father of four of Millbrook’s five children, was arrested several weeks later in her car.
