MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A second vehicular homicide charge has been filed against a Memphis man after a crash Tuesday night.

David Diaz was driving a pick-up truck that hit a car with three people inside.

Donna Dickson, 55, was ejected and died on the scene.

A second woman, who was pregnant, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The woman, who later miscarried, was twelve weeks pregnant.

A witness said Diaz and a second man ran from the scene and tried to hide in an apartment complex.

Police said Diaz was impaired and the truck has numerous empty beer cans inside.

Diaz is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident involving death, DUI, reckless driving, not having a license or car insurance, public intoxication and reckless endangerment to wit: motor vehicle.

Alfredo Juarez, who was a passenger in the truck, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death.

The father of the baby, Desmond Black, 27, was charged with driving with a suspended license and not having car insurance. Black was driving the car that police say Diaz hit.
