OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Days after an Oklahoma man beheaded his co-worker and attacked a second, another man in the same area is charged with threatening to behead one of his co-workers.
A woman at a nursing home in Oklahoma City told police 30-year-old Jacob Muriithi started speaking with her after noticing that she was wearing a Star of David necklace.
KFOR-TV reports Muriithi told the woman he “represented ISIS.”
When the woman asked what that meant, she said Muriithi told her “they kill Christians by cutting off their heads.”
The alleged victim claims Muriithi then asked her what time she got off work and, “told her he was going to wait until she got off work and cut her head off.”
The victim says she thought he was joking because he has a dry sense of humor.
She asked if he had a guillotine setup outside, but he said he “was going to cut her head off with a dull blade, then post it on Facebook.”
Co-workers reportedly overheard the conversation and called the FBI.
Muriithi allegedly said he was only joking when questioned by police.
Muriithi had been arrested and charged with one count of threatening an act of violence.
In light of recent events, the district attorney has upgraded the charge to making a terroristic threat.
