While Jones' fiance, Donald Pigford, is glad these guys are locked up, he said the healing process is just beginning.
"A lot of happy memories that we had together," he said.
He is in the middle of planning a funeral; she will be laid to rest Monday.
Pigford is looking through pictures and trying his best to honor his fiancee's memory.
"Mia just meant so — she meant so much to me and a lot of the people around her," he said. "It's going to be emotional for me for months."
And while it's not clear when or if Thompson will be charged as an adult, Jones' loved ones are preparing for the moment they come face to face with her accused killers.
"I'm going to follow every step that I have to following this process to make sure that justice is done."
