MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police have arrested a man they say exposed himself and blew kisses to three girls walking home from school Wednesday afternoon.

It happened as the 13-year-old, 12-year-old and 11-year-old were walking on the 3800 block of American Way.

They told police they saw Eddie Farris across the street, holding his genitalia. They said he then lifted his shirt and blew kisses at them.

Farris is being held on a $100 bond.

“That’s disgusting. I know this neighborhood has a lot of sex offenders in the area,” said a concerned mother.

WREG checked the state registry, and there are 109 sex offenders registered in the 38118 zip code, where American Way Middle School is located. Farris isn’t one of them.

He was sentenced to six months probation and got a suspended 90-day sentence for indecent exposure in 1999. Details of that incident weren’t immediately available.

In 2004, a police officer said he saw Farris with his pants down again.

Farris is due in court Monday at 9 a.m.
