MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One man is dead and another was taken to the hospital after a shooting Wednesday morning in Hickory Hill.
According to Memphis Police, officers responded to a shooting call in the 4100 block of Kirby Parkway near Raines. One man was taken to Regional One Health in non-critical condition.
Another man was pronounced dead on the scene.
A store manager says the victim walked into her store looking for help.
Hui Mok, a store manager at B&B Beauty Supply nearby, says she was working in the back when she heard several gunshots. She says within minutes, a man walked into her store with blood running down his side.
Surveillance video shows the man limping into the store before noon Wednesday.
Mok says he was on the phone with police, and her coworker took the phone to tell them where to come. Police showed up quickly and Mok says the victim was taken away in an ambulance.
“He walked up to the store and said, ‘Help, I’ve been shot!'” she said.
We don’t know what led to the shooting or the victim’s identity.
Police say the second victim was taken to Regional One Hospital and is expected to be okay.
