MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shots were fired near the University of Memphis Monday morning, and officials urged everyone to stay inside.
According to the school, shots were fired along Highland and Watauga. A male was reportedly armed with a rifle.
Everyone in the area was told to stay indoors.
Officials cleared the scene but did not find a suspect. It is unknown whether anyone was harmed.
Five shell casings were recovered near the scene.
