MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A shooting happened at a gas station in Nutbush Tuesday morning.

Memphis Police responded to a shooting at Sunoco in the 4100 block of Jackson Avenue. Two people were suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.

A video shows a red Nissan lose control and crash into two blue poles, causing it to flip over on its roof. MPD confirms it all happened just moments after shots were fired.

Police said officers discovered two guns under the car after flipping it over to load it on the tow truck.

This remains an ongoing investigation, police say.

There have been 19 aggravated assaults and homicides this year within a quarter mile of this most recent shooting.
